Wes Brownell has worked at Crossgates Veterinary Clinic for more than 20 years. He is a graduate of Pearl High School. He graduated veterinary tech school from Mississippi State University in 2002. His main areas of interest are radiology and surgery. Wes is a pillar of Crossgates Veterinary Clinic and is a huge asset to our patients. He and his wife Shira are part of the Crossgates family.
Cierra Flanagan Abney
Cierra Flanagan Abney has spent her whole life loving and caring for animals. She graduated high school in Pearl, MS and then attended Hinds Community College in Raymond, MS.
After completing a year of community college in the veterinary technician program, she entered her second and final year of training at Mississippi State University, where she also completed her six week internship. Cierra received her degree as a Certified Veterinary Technician in 2007.
For over 15 years now, Cierra has worked at Crossgates Veterinary Clinic near her family and friends. She is happily married to Ronald and they have an array of loving dogs, cats, a dove, and many fish. CVC would not function without Cierra!
Amber Steele Sistrunk
Amber Steele Sistrunk has been a fixture at Crossgates Vet for many, many years. She started off as a kennel staff member, working her way up to the kennel staff manager. Amber returned to school while working at CVC to become a Certified Veterinary Technician. She has since further advanced her education in canine rehabilitation, a service that we will soon be offering to our clients at CVC. Amber, along with her husband and kids, love love love animals. We often hear stories of Amber going above and beyond for the animals in our community.
Autumn Smith is the newest to the CVC Certified Vet Tech Team. She joined CVC in 2020 after graduating from Hinds Community College. Although she is the youngest, don't let that fool you. Autumn is a hard worker and knows her stuff! Her great attitude and work ethic gives her a good reputation around CVC. Autumn is super talented (as evidenced by her artwork!), very detail-oriented, and loves your fur-babies with a passion.
